Abbott Welcomes 2025 with a Spectacular Show in Bengaluru

The year 2025 was welcomed with much gusto and hope by Abbott, along with their joint celebration with Decathalon, in Bengaluru.
Abbott, a US-based multinational company, is a renowned brand in producing healthcare technologies and widening access to them. With its modern and innovative medical devices and noble solutions, it is a global leader in research and development in the field.
Decathlon, while based in France, is undisputedly the world’s largest sports retailer, having created an unparalleled name for itself in providing all kinds of sporting equipment, outdoor gear and activewear. The brand is trusted by leisure-seekers and elite athletes equally.
On January 6 and 7, the company held two simultaneous celebrations for its various associates and partners, ushering in the new year. The first was a two-day fiesta held in collaboration between Abbott Vaccines and Decathlon, which was celebrating its tenth anniversary as well, at the Sheraton Grand Hotel. The second was a celebration catering exclusively to Abbott Gennext, the line of products designed for therapy areas, at Leela Bharatiya City.
The organizers sought to hand-craft this event experience to perfection with GoKapture as their event tech partner. First, we decided to capture the collaborative moment in a special memento with a custom Photo Mosaic Wall in Bangalore, displaying the colours of both the brands, as well as a ten-year mosaic image for attendees to co-create with their cheerful participation. On the following day, provisions were also made to capture instant prints of the guests in front of the completed Photo Mosaic Wall, with the same serving as a beautiful photo point.

Our most beloved corporate photobooth- the Digital Caricature Photobooth also made a lively appearance at both venues to enhance the event photography experience. While the booth on its own is a recipe for fun, delivering instant caricatures of the guests, it was further repurposed to design custom, branded calendars for the year 2025 to be gifted as special souvenirs. Thus, arrangements were drawn to make photo prints available in both portrait and landscape, in appropriate sizes.

Our third feature at the Abbott and Decathlon joint gathering was the Digital Slingshot, an interactive event wall that allowed people to register their presence at the event with multimedia messages they could aim and shoot to be displayed on the screen. For Abbott Gennext, on the other hand, we amped up the occasion with custom branded games that would invigorate the crowd. Our interactive games included Batak Pro and Stepper activity, two energizing setups that had everyone working their limbs. While Batak Pro makes for a solo endeavour to test one’s reflexes and seek a high score, the Stepper was a custom three-player installation where the participants’ moves fueled the on-screen avatars to pace up to the finish line.

- Our immersive and effective event gamification pathways lent the guests choices to try their hands at, and made for constantly abuzz areas at the venue resonant in their enthusiasm.
- All three gamified setups were adequately branded to aid in a memorable brand experience and bolster event recall through fun times.
- The physical photo mosaic catered to the special nature of the brands’ collaborative feature, and was a meaningful gesture to begin the new year with.
- The photo mosaic wall in Bangalore also unified the attendees in a shared experience where their contribution to the brands was uniquely highlighted in a pictorial representation.
- The mosaic, while serving as a focal zone of interest on day one sparking connections, also served the dual purpose of providing branded souvenirs of the celebration by acting as a personalized photo wall on day two.
- The instant caricatures made the typical corporate photobooth experience fun and interesting, and with branded calendars impressed with the caricatures of each guest, they made a significant gesture for the occasion.
- The overall experience was tailored to drive social sharing, with visitors communicating, conversing and taking to social media to post their wins and memories.
- The array of photography and gamified activities were key to transforming and uplifting the ambiance, keeping the organizing brands front and center of the unforgettable day.
