IDFC Opens Up Big for TATA Mumbai Marathon 2025

Gearing up for the 20th edition of the TATA Mumbai Marathon, a premier athletic event famed across the continent, IDFC First Bank put up a grand fiesta as the associate sponsor of the event.

Entering its twentieth edition in 2025, the TATA Mumbai Marathon is a mega event abounding in star appearances and gathering immense support with massive participation. Besides hosting various races such as a full and a half marathon, with special editions for the elderly and the disabled, the event also serves to fuel and stage several health and sustainability initiatives, alongside bolstering various philanthropic activities.

IDFC First Bank is among India’s leading private baking service providers, and within a decade of its inception, has amassed a steady and loyal clientele through its excellence in providing personal banking solutions.

Warming up for the D-Day, a three-day exhibition was organized at the University of Mumbai, housing booths and various intearctive experiences delivered by the marathon’s various sponsors and partner brands. Stepping confidently into its role as the marathon’s associate sponsor, IDFC joined hands with GoKapture as their event tech partner to design the grandest expo show of all. From January 16 to 18, we installed a stellar AI Photo Booth in Mumbai that captured the essence of the occasion- the international scale of the marathon and the wide interest it gathered. The AI Photobooth library compiled for this special occasion zoned in on twelve mega cities from around the world- from New York and London to Mumbai and Tokyo. Visitors could pose and get their photographs featuring these gorgeous metropolitans and some of their most iconic landmarks, such as the Eiffel Tower, Cloud Gate and the Bandra Worli Sea.

On the day of the marathon, another AI Photobooth was set up at Azad Maidan, a key pit stop for the races. This one was themed on various professions, ranging from astronauts and scientists to cricketers and F1 racers. The aim was to highlight how the marathon saw a varied crowd- with people from all backgrounds and profiles coming together in this mammoth celebration of life, be it an elite athlete or a lawyer

On the final day of the expo, we also set up a special iPhone video booth activity to justly capture the anticipation for the marathon. This was an engaging bid for heightening brand awareness for IDFC as the event’s associate sponsor wherein people could share their experiences and exhibit infectious excitement. For this, the booth’s theme was the slogan “Metal in me” which spoke of the participants’ capability and determination, symbolically represented through the IDFC card featured in the video.

Our third engagement hub at the expo was an interactive game in Mumbai that turned out to be a massive head-turner. This custom Digital Touch Game was designed particularly for the occasion, and was aptly called Catch the Runner, wherein people were made to challenge their reflexes so as to superimpose the runner’s image with the given silhouette. The game was kept simple and quick to accommodate the varied crowd and tall queues.

On the day of the marathon, we geared up to serve the massive crowd, estimated at some 60,000, with custom, branded souvenirs of their proud moment. Four Magic Mirror Photobooths and a classic Photo Strip Booth were installed at the Azad Maidan, alongside the aforementioned AI Photo Booth in Mumbai, to expertly capture and preserve every winning shot, every commendable effort and persevering spirit with this metaphorical pat on the back.

The four-day fiesta for the TATA Mumbai Marathon became a potent stage for the display of IDFC First Bank’s brand power, and here is how we aided the goal:
