Kamineni Hospital Hyderabad Sends Message with Interactive Running Game
On the occasion of World Diabetes Day 2024, Kamineni Hospital, Hyderabad organized a two-day awareness campaign and health program that garnered a wide audience.

On November 14 each year, to commemorate the birth of the discoverer of insulin, Sir Frederick Banting, the world celebrates Diabetes Day, an awareness campaign led by the World Diabetes Foundation. With the theme for this year being “Breaking barriers, bridging gaps,” the occasion called for Kamineni Hospital to take a leading role in doing its bit in knowledge sharing and building a healthy community. The organizers of the event sought GoKapture’s help in engaging people meaningfully, and communicating the message of the day most optimally.
For this occasion, our team designed a Digital Running Game that was provided with powerful sensors to help players navigate the fictional world of the game. As physical activity and exercising is key to leading a healthy lifestyle and keeping Diabetes-associated risks at bay, it seemed most suitable to craft an IoT-powered interactive activity that would imitate people going for a jog. The setup was designed for two people to be able to play at once. All the players had to do was move on the tracks provided, and their onscreen avatars would mirror their movements.
This custom branded game was placed centrally in the hospital’s lobby and quickly became the hotspot of interest and enthusiasm. Our interactive game in Hyderabad was a simple yet effective means to communicate the idea of incorporating a few steps towards leading a healthier, more active lifestyle. The activity found participants in doctors, nurses, other staff, as well as visitors to the hospital, including kids.
